Introduction
I am a science teacher in NYC. I teach an afterschool class (and a summer minicamp) called Science Magic for Muggles. I also teach a monthly Fantasy Book Club at school.
Which house are you a member of?

Griffindor, of course

Who is your favorite character? Why?

I was asked this at a book club meeting. I automatically answered Luna because of her love and insight of nature. There was a parent at the book club and I thought, what kind of impression am I making. So later I said Ginny cause she gets Harry.

What is your favorite book? Why?

The Deathly Hallows. Jo Rowling pulled it off. She tied up so many loose ends and gave us all a satisfying finale to share and talk about. There was Harry at the train station with his family full of love and excitment. Evil was gone. It was wonderful.

How did you get to become a fan of HP?

One of my students was carrying the hardcover of Sorcerer's Stone way back when. I asked him if it was as good as the buzz and he said he would lend it to me. But only until Monday. So that weekend was my introduction to Harry Potter. WOW! I went to the bookstore the next week.

Which character do you relate the most to?

The character I most relate to is Mrs. Weasley. The mother of us all. She is loving and tough and she survived raising Fred and George. She cooks, she knits (I wish I could). She does it all and then gets to say that wonderful line in Book 7.

  •  Hello, Robin, I'm Jeff Egerton, author of THE BOXCAR BLUES. This is a gripping coming of age story about two teenage boys, struggling to survive during the Great Depression. Their tempered steel toughness and street savvy allow them to rise from homeless vagrants to become owners of a major airline. THE BOXCAR BLUES is available at selected book stores and on-line book sellers. Send an e-mail to: BoxcarBlues@cox.net, and I'll send you a free copy of my newsletter. www.JeffEgerton.com
